The Xperia XZ2 is SONY’s latest smartphone, packed with innovative technology. Woodlands Marketing, the client, wanted REWIND to produce a film to promote the device’s features, with a particular emphasis on the phone’s ability to play PlayStation 4 titles via Remote Play, enhanced by the XZ2’s Dynamic Vibration System (DVS) and Hi-Res Audio capabilities.

The Solution

The brief called for the viewer to feel like they are being pulled into the phone, experiencing every element of the game while demonstrating to the viewer why the Xperia XZ2 is the ultimate gamers phone. REWIND delivered an exhilarating and fast-paced video, engaging with the target market and showing off the key features of the phone, all in 20 seconds.

The piece seamlessly edits and blends together footage from Gran Turismo Sport and God of War with bespoke CGI visuals created by REWIND, transforming the way the user sees the phone. REWIND worked closely with both Woodlands Marketing and SONY to ensure the Xperia XZ2 was portrayed as the best phone for immersive and extreme gaming, leaving the viewer wanting to see more from both the games and the device itself.
