Budweiser’s World Cup Goal

At AB InBev, the dream is to ‘Bring People Together for a Better World’, to unite people for the next 100 years and beyond. For the 2018 World Cup, Budweiser threw large-scale parties to bring people together to enjoy the game. The brand wanted to give access to these events to those that couldn’t be there.

Immersive Parties

During the opening days of the World Cup, REWIND performed a 360° capture of the euphoric atmosphere as games kicked off at Bud Fan Events and the Bud Club.

REWIND developed a bespoke app to house the 360° videos, with a custom designed menu allowing the user to select one of the videos. The menu screen was inspired by Budweiser’s world cup advertising campaign.

The captured footage was deployed on Windows Mixed Reality headsets at viewing locations across the globe. The final exports were suitable for Facebook and YouTube’s native 360 players so they could be live streamed on AB InBev’s channels during the World Cup.
